OBIOMA Measurement Service Terms

The measurement service records your measurements so that repairs, alterations and custom work can be carried out to fit you, and so you have a reusable measurement profile.

The profile covers sections A to K, which include body measurements and related sizing details such as head circumference and shoe size.

For accurate results, wear appropriate close-fitting clothing, stand naturally, and tell the Service Provider about anything that affects fit or comfort. Please review the recorded measurements before the session is closed.

Measurements are taken carefully by a trained Service Provider, but small variation is normal between sessions, posture, and measuring technique. Measurements are a professional record, not a guarantee of a perfect fit for every garment.

Service Providers offering measurement are certified by OBIOMA under our own internal training and assessment programme. OBIOMA certification is a platform standard. It is not a government licence, a statutory qualification, or accreditation by any external professional body.

Your measurements are stored in your OBIOMA account as a digital profile. You may view, download and share the profile yourself. We use it to support fitting on jobs you request.

Your measurements change over time. We recommend re-measurement periodically, and before any significant custom work, so garments are made to your current measurements.

Fit also depends on the garment's fabric, cut, construction and intended style. Accurate measurements reduce, but do not remove, the possibility that a garment needs a final adjustment.

Measurement data is personal data. It is stored securely, is available to you, and is shared with a Service Provider only where it is needed to carry out a job you have requested. It is not sold or used for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

If you believe a measurement is wrong, tell us through the platform or at support@obiomaalterations.com. You may correct your profile, and where the error was made by our Service Provider we will arrange a free re-measurement or refund the measurement fee under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
