OBIOMA Garment Transformation & Custom Work Terms

Last updated 28 September 2026

These terms apply to transformation and custom work requested through the OBIOMA platform operated by OBIOMA GARMENT CARE & ALTERATIONS SERVICES, in addition to our Customer Terms & Conditions.

Transformation work can involve irreversible cutting, reconstruction, dyeing or modification of your garment. Once such work begins, the garment usually cannot be returned to its original state.

1. Assessment

Every transformation begins with an assessment of the garment, the fabric, the construction and the feasibility of what you have asked for. If the request is not achievable with the garment supplied, we will tell you before any work starts.

2. Quote and approval

You receive a written quote on the platform covering the scope of work, materials and price. Work only begins after you approve the quote and your payment has been verified by our payment provider, as set out in the Customer Terms & Conditions.

3. Reference images

Reference or inspiration images you share are treated as guidance for style and direction, not as a guarantee of an identical outcome, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing on the platform. Fabric, garment structure and available materials all affect the result.

4. Customer-owned garments

You confirm that you own the garment, or are authorised to have it altered, and that you accept transformation work being carried out on it.

5. Irreversible changes

You acknowledge that cutting, reshaping, reconstructing, dyeing or otherwise modifying the garment is generally irreversible. If a garment has high sentimental or monetary value, tell us before approving the work so we can advise on the risk or recommend an alternative.

6. Customer approval

Your approval of the design brief and quote is recorded on the platform. That record is what we use to assess any later dispute about the outcome.

7. Additional work

If additional work becomes necessary once the garment is opened up, the Service Provider must raise a revised quote through the platform. Additional work is only carried out after you approve the revised quote, and that approval is recorded on the platform.

8. Delays

Custom work timelines are estimates. Complex construction, material availability or approval delays can extend them. We will keep you updated through the platform, and you may cancel under the Refund & Cancellation Policy if a delay becomes unreasonable.

9. Materials

Where materials such as fabric, lining, dye, zips or trims are needed, the type and cost are set out in the quote. Exact colour and texture matching cannot always be guaranteed, and we will tell you where a close match rather than an exact match is expected.

10. Final result and reasonable handmade variation

Transformation is handmade work. Minor variation in stitching, symmetry, drape and finish is normal and is not a defect. The work must nonetheless match the approved brief and meet a reasonable professional standard.

11. Disputes

Concerns about a completed transformation should be raised promptly through the platform or at support@obiomaalterations.com. Claims are assessed under the Garment Damage, Loss & Dispute Policy, against the approved brief and quote, and remedies may include correction, partial refund or full refund.
