OBIOMA Tailor & Service Provider Terms

Last updated 28 September 2026

These terms govern your participation as a tailor or service provider on the OBIOMA platform operated by OBIOMA GARMENT CARE & ALTERATIONS SERVICES.

By registering as a Service Provider you agree to these terms. Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Nigerian law.

1. Independent provider status

You are an independent contractor. These terms do not create employment, partnership or agency between you and OBIOMA. You decide which jobs to accept and how to carry out your craft, subject to the professional standards below.

2. Verification requirements

You must complete OBIOMA's application and verification process, remain approved and active, and keep your profile accurate, including identity and contact information, skills and any certification recorded on the platform. Providing false verification information is a material breach.

3. Availability, location and eligibility

To receive and accept suitable jobs, you must be eligible for the service, set yourself as available through the Platform and permit current device location while online. Matching uses current device location and the Platform's eligibility rules, including required skills or certification; it does not rely on a manually configured service radius.

4. Professional service standard

You must carry out all work with reasonable care, skill and diligence, in line with accepted tailoring practice, and complete jobs within the agreed timeframe or communicate delays promptly through the platform.

5. Job acceptance

Accepting a job is a commitment to perform it. Only accept jobs for which the Platform confirms your eligibility and for which you have the skills, tools, availability and capacity to complete. Do not dispatch or begin travelling until the Platform confirms the customer's payment has been successfully verified. Repeated late, missed or cancelled jobs affect your standing and may lead to suspension.

6. Customer information confidentiality

Customer data made available to you is provided solely to perform the job. You must not copy, retain beyond the job, share, publish or use it for any other purpose, including marketing.

7. Exact location and contact information controls

You may initially see only the general service area needed for matching. Exact Meeting Point or service address and customer phone details are released only to the assigned Service Provider when operationally necessary and the applicable verified-payment and assignment conditions are satisfied. Access closes after completion, cancellation or dispute closure according to the Platform's workflow. You must not attempt to obtain, retain, infer or extract this information outside the Platform's controls.

8. Off-platform solicitation prohibition

You must not deliberately solicit or accept off-platform work or payment for an OBIOMA-originated job to avoid the Platform's applicable process, and must not share personal payment details for those jobs. See the Platform Integrity & Off-Platform Policy.

9. Garment handling

Handle every garment with care appropriate to its fabric, age and value. Inspect and photograph the garment before and after work where the platform requests it, and raise any pre-existing damage immediately through the platform.

10. Transformation work

Do not begin irreversible cutting, reconstruction, dyeing or modification without the customer's recorded approval of the quote and design brief on the platform.

11. Tools and safety

You are responsible for your own tools, equipment and their safe use, including at customer locations. Work safely, respect the customer's property and stop work if a location is unsafe.

12. Customer conduct

You are entitled to be treated with respect. If a customer is abusive, unsafe or acts unlawfully, you may decline or stop the job and report it to support@obiomaalterations.com without penalty for a genuine report.

13. Pricing

Job pricing is set by OBIOMA's published rates and calculated by the platform. You must not request additional payment from a customer outside the platform. Where a job genuinely requires more work than quoted, raise a revised quote through the platform for customer approval.

14. Payments and earnings

Customers pay OBIOMA through the platform. Your earnings are the job amount less OBIOMA's commission and any applicable deductions, as shown in your earnings records, and are paid out in accordance with the payout schedule communicated to you.

OBIOMA does not guarantee any minimum number of jobs, customer volume, availability of work, income or earnings.

15. Completion requirements

Complete each required job stage through the Platform, provide any required after-work photographs or records, and do not mark a job complete before the agreed work has been performed. Customer confirmation, issue reporting and dispute handling continue through the applicable Platform workflow.

16. Ratings and performance

Customers may rate and review your work. Ratings, completion rate, punctuality and dispute history form your performance record and influence matching. We do not remove genuine reviews on request, but we will remove reviews that are unlawful, abusive or demonstrably false.

17. Customer property

Garments and other customer property in your possession remain the customer's. Keep them secure, do not use them for any other purpose, and return them promptly on completion or on request.

18. Evidence and documentation

  • Record before and after photographs where required.
  • Note any pre-existing damage at handover.
  • Keep job communication on the platform so it can be reviewed if a dispute arises.

19. Taxes and legal compliance

You are responsible for your own taxes, levies and any registrations or permits required for your work, and for complying with applicable Nigerian law.

20. Confidentiality

Non-public information about OBIOMA's operations, pricing methodology and customers is confidential and must not be disclosed except where legally required.

21. Suspension

We may suspend your account where there is a credible allegation of fraud, off-platform circumvention, misuse of customer data, unsafe conduct or serious quality failure, while we investigate. We will tell you the reason and give you a fair opportunity to respond, unless prevented by law.

22. Termination

Either party may end this relationship at any time. You must complete or properly hand over any accepted jobs, and return any customer property in your possession.

23. Disputes

Customer disputes are handled under the Garment Damage, Loss & Dispute Policy. You must co-operate with investigations and provide evidence promptly. Where a dispute is upheld against you, OBIOMA may recover the cost of the remedy from your earnings in a reasonable and disclosed manner.

24. Added garments, referrals and recognition

Customers may add garments to an order you have accepted until the order closes. You must accept or decline each added group through the Platform and must not begin that work until the Platform shows its payment as verified. After completing the work you must confirm leaving the customer's location through the Platform.

Your referral code may only be shared honestly. Rewards apply only to genuinely new customers whose first order is paid, completed and confirmed without dispute. Self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts and other manipulation are prohibited; suspected cases are flagged for review and rewards may be withheld, cancelled or reversed, including after release. Rewards are recorded through the Platform's financial records and do not change your job earnings.

Tailor of the Month and other recognition are selected at OBIOMA's discretion. No recognition, ranking or partner reward is guaranteed.

25. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify OBIOMA against losses and reasonable costs arising from your fraud, gross negligence, unlawful conduct or material breach of these terms.

26. Intellectual property

OBIOMA's brand, platform and content remain ours. You grant OBIOMA a limited licence to use job photographs and work records to operate the platform, verify quality and resolve disputes.

27. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified through the platform or by email before they take effect.

28. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with Lagos State as OBIOMA's primary operating jurisdiction, and disputes not resolved internally may be referred to the competent courts of Lagos State.
